This bootcamp is perfect for complete beginners and intermediate dancers who want to sharpen their basics or learn new techniques.

Do I need a partner?

No partner is required! We rotate partners throughout the class so everyone gets the chance to practice. Usually 30 to 40 dancers join each class and you’ll switch throughout the bootcamp.

How many calories will I burn?

A 4-hour bachata session typically burns 300–700+ calories, depending on your pace and movement. That’s anywhere from 1200 to 2400 calories — plus whatever you burn during any social dancing AFTER the bootcamp!

What should I wear?

Wear comfortable clothing you can move in, such as workout attire or casual dancewear. Avoid oversized or tight, restrictive clothing.

What shoes should I bring?

Soft, comfortable shoes or dance shoes with smooth soles are ideal. Avoid rubber-bottom shoes as they make turns harder. Don’t worry — as long as you’re comfortable, you’ll be fine.

Is previous dance experience required?

Not at all! Even if you’ve never danced before, our instructors will guide you step-by-step. If you have danced, you’ll continue practicing and refining your skills by adding styling techniques — plus you’ll meet a lot of great people!

Absolutely. Our classes are friendly, supportive, and judgment-free. Everyone comes to learn and have fun.

You’ll learn bachata rhythm, timing, basic steps, leading/following skills, turns, patterns, and simple combinations you can use immediately on the dance floor.

What level is the bootcamp?

It’s designed for beginners and improvers/intermediates who want to refresh or perfect their fundamentals.

What should I bring with me?

Bring water, comfortable shoes, gum, deodorant, and a positive attitude. A small towel is optional but helpful. We’ll say it — hygiene is important! Smell good, have great breath, and be ready to meet a lot of great people.

Will there be breaks?

Yes, short breaks are scheduled throughout the 4 hours so you can hydrate and rest.

What if I’ve never danced before?

No problem — many students are complete beginners. Our instructors teach everything step-by-step. Just have fun! It’s a safe, welcoming environment.

Can I get a refund if I can’t make it?

We plan according to the exact headcount, so there are no refunds. However, we will honor a credit for the next bootcamp.

Will photos or videos be taken?

Yes, we may capture moments for promotional purposes. By joining the bootcamp, you agree to be included unless you request otherwise.

What is the V.I.P pass?

You can attend all Bachata Bootcamps for the year — you pay once, and that’s it! Plus, you get significant savings.

Do you include Salsa lessons in your bootcamps?

Yes — but it depends on the schedule. If Salsa is included, it will appear on the calendar and we’ll provide details for that specific bootcamp.

Is there a limit on skill progression during the bootcamp?

No, our instructors adjust lessons to accommodate different skill levels. Beginners learn foundational steps while intermediate dancers can refine techniques and styling.

Are refreshments provided?

We will come on boo-boo provide water. We recommend bringing your own water bottle. Snacks are optional, but light energy snacks are fine to bring.

What safety measures are in place?

Our instructors prioritize safety. The venue has a clean, well-maintained floor, and partner rotations are organized. Proper warm-up by starting with the easy steps at the beginning of the Boot Camp.

Is there a code of conduct?

Yes, we ask all participants to respect each other, maintain personal hygiene, and follow the instructor’s guidance. Harassment or inappropriate behavior is not tolerated and once we are informed, immediate action will be taken.

Can I take breaks if I feel tired?

Absolutely! Short breaks are scheduled, and you may step out if needed. Listening to your body is important.

What should I do if I have an injury or health concern?

Please inform the instructor before the class begins. We can provide modified movements to reduce strain, but consult your doctor for any serious health concerns prior to attending class with a written doctor’s notice.

Can I record videos or take photos?

Personal recording is allowed only with permission. Official photos and videos may be taken for promotional purposes and mention bachata.com; you can opt out if requested in advance.

Is there a social dancing component?

Yes! Towards the end of the bootcamp, we often have free social dancing where you can practice the moves learned and meet other dancers.

What happens if the bootcamp is canceled?

If unforeseen circumstances cause a cancellation, registered participants will receive full credit for the next bootcamp or a refund if applicable.

Can I bring children?

Our bootcamps are designed for adult participants only. Children must be supervised outside of the dance space.
